ERROLZ / SITE POLICIES
Cookie policy
Effective October 3, 2026 · Last updated October 3, 2026
Your choice, wherever you visit from
Optional analytics are off until you explicitly accept them. Accepting and rejecting are equally available, and browsing does not depend on consent. The cookie banner leaves the site available while you decide. Open the centered Cookie settings window from the banner or footer to change or withdraw your choice. Closing the settings window, scrolling or continuing to browse does not count as consent.
Regional information
United States — We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Global Privacy Control is respected; optional analytics still require your choice.
We use an approximate country estimate from Cloudflare to show regional information. You can change the region in Cookie settings. Wherever you visit from, optional analytics require your consent. The estimate does not determine your residence or all your legal rights.
Storage inventory
- errolz_consent (first-party cookie): remembers your consent and opt-out choices, when you made them, and any regional selection for up to 180 days. It contains no visitor tracking ID.
- errolz-visitor (local storage, optional): random analytics browser ID with a fixed 30-day expiry, created only after consent.
- errolz-visit (local storage, optional): random visit ID and referrer domain, renewed after 30 minutes of inactivity while analytics are enabled.
- errolz-theme and errolz-favourites (local storage, requested preferences): save the appearance and favourites you choose until you change or clear them. They are not advertising trackers.
- errolz-accessibility (local storage, requested preferences): larger-text and reduced-motion choices until reset or cleared. No disability or diagnosis is collected.
- errolz-consent-refresh (transient local storage): keeps your privacy choice consistent across open tabs; removed immediately after the update. It contains no visitor identifier.
- sessionid and csrftoken (owner-studio cookies): authentication and protection against forged requests. Owner sessions expire after one hour; the request-security cookie may remain for up to one year. The public portfolio does not require an owner login.
An older errolz_analytics_opt_out preference cookie may remain from the previous implementation. We continue to honour it and remove it when you save a new choice. Cloudflare may also use security cookies if its challenge or protection features are invoked; these are not our optional audience analytics. See Cloudflare's cookie information for provider-controlled details.
What happens when you choose
Optional analytics collection and its identifiers start only after you accept. Refusing or withdrawing stops future analytics collection and removes local analytics identifiers. Essential connection and security processing still takes place to deliver and protect the site.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable optional analytics even if you previously accepted. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. If JavaScript or storage is unavailable, optional analytics remain off. When your saved choice expires, we ask again before enabling optional analytics.
Withdrawing consent does not automatically erase records collected earlier. Stored analytics records and their backup copies currently have no automatic deletion schedule; the browser expiries above do not delete those records. See the Privacy policy for retention, providers and rights requests.
